We work with children starting at age three. At our School, preschoolers have their own special classes, just for them.
Dress Up and Dance, for 3-4 year olds, is a ballet-based creative movement class. At 30 minutes long, once a week, it is just right for our youngest dancers, with lots of costumes, props, and imaginative direction.
KinderBallet/Tap is our next offering, open to Pre-K children who turn five within that academic year. An hour long, the class is half tap, half ballet, and the students perform two recital routines in our annual May stage production.
Four-year-olds are also eligible for our week-long ballet summer camps. Each camp is themed after a classical narrative ballet sure to peak their interest, and each day offers a holistic range of activities - arts and crafts, music theory on actual instruments, dress up, drama games, French language - to engage the total child. Camp week concludes with an informal performance.
Dance will help your boy or girl learn to follow verbal and visual directions, relate within a peer group, develop gross motor skills, language skills, balance, and coordination, and connect to a teacher in a class environment. Our preschool teachers are mommies, too - we aim to keep your youngster busy and happy!
