Jazz dance is an American art encompassing: classic jazz, contemporary movement, period styles like Charleston and swing, and pop culture trends.
First graders and older can start. Students have a great time dancing to the latest Top 40 hits, to Hollywood and Broadway songs, and more!
Ballet training is extremely helpful to jazz dancers, but is not required. We also suggest tap dance, which provides the aspiring professional with the tools for musical theatre and commercial work on the stage and screen.
